‘Koti’ hitmaker Stephen Kwabena Siaw, known in showbiz as Ayesem has responded to some comments Sista Afia made about him on Hitz FM.
Sista Afia, who appeared on Hitz FM’s morning show on Monday, August 8, 2022 admitted that Ayesem helped her in writing some of her songs, but added he came out to make that announcement to promote his new song.
According to the ‘Asuoden’ singer, she met Ayesem in Kumasi and he told her all that he said about writing her hit songs was for hype.
“When I met him in Kumasi, he said he was about to release a song that’s why he said that. Looking at the timeline, he was releasing a new song and using me to promote the song but at least he could have called me. Don’t make me look like a bad person knowing we are good…” she said.
Unhappy with this, Ayesem has spoken to Hertilicious of Empire FM in Takoradi to refute Sista Afia’s claims.
“I think it was damage control that she was trying to do. I was listening to her this morning. All that she was saying about me were all lies,” he noted.
@ayesemmusic fires back at @sista_afia after she said on @Hitz1039FM that the Takoradi-based musician wanted to use her to promote his song, a reason he came out to say he wrote all her hit songs for her.

In the interview he said Afia is just being ungrateful to him.
He said there are a lot of young female musicians who fail to acknowledge their songwriters.
“I know them. She is not the only one doing this. Most of the girls, when you write songs for them, I don’t know why they feel shy to say they have songwriters or there are people behind the songwriting,” he told Hertilicious.
Ayesem added that contrary to the allusion by Sista Afia that coming out to say he wrote her songs was a childish act, he did that to attract other prospective customers.
A few months ago Ayesem told KMJ on Joy Prime, that he wrote all of Sista Afia’s hit songs including the diss songs she released for Eno Barony and Freda Rhymes during their ‘Rap Beef Triangle’ two years ago.
According to him, he wouldn’t have said it but Sista Afia, for a long time, has not been giving him credit for writing songs for him.
He said he is the one that wrote Sista Afia’s ‘Corner Corner’, ‘Slay Queen’, ‘Paper’ and ‘Asuoden’, among others.
“I wrote all these songs for her but not even a single call from her [to show appreciation],” he said.
The Takoradi-based artiste said in his interview with KMJ that he has stopped providing the ‘Asuoden’ singer with songs because of her ungrateful attitude.
