What happened during the ‘Dumsor Must Stop’ demonstration in 2015 might repeat itself soon.
This time, the Ghanaian celebrities will not be demonstrating against erratic power supply (dumsor); they want to register their displeasure at the general state of leadership in the country and the economic challenges citizens are faced with.
Ghanaian comedian DKB mentioned actress Yvonne Nelson in a tweet, asking if they should embark on a demonstration as they did in 2015.

This comes after Yvonne had tweeted: “One thing about this government ……they don’t care….. but, they care about Power and the prestige that comes with it. we will start making y’all care. @NAkufoAddo.”
DKB then wrote: “DEMONSTRATION/VIGIL ALERT ⚠ ⏰ 📣
Are you joining to protect the future of your country?
The second coming! @dkbghana @yvonnenelsongh.”
In Yvonne Nelson’s reply, she wrote that she was ready for it: “DKB, we should, sweets.”

In May, 2015, about 1500 Ghanaians went on a vigil in Accra to protest the worsening power cuts in the country.
The vigil initiated by actress Yvonne Nelson and DKB and other showbiz personalities had other celebrities such as Van Vicker, Prince David Osei, Barima Sidney, Efya, Wanlov, D-Black, Prince David Osei, among others.

Since then Ghanaian celebrities have used their social media handles to hold duty bearers accountable whey they renege on their promises.
