Veteran Ghanaian musician Akosua Agyapong has compared her prime days to that of Mzbel’s.
According to her, she was the talk of the town in her hey days as she expressed her creativity not only in music but dancing as well.
In an interview with Joy News, Akosua Agyapong disclosed that she used to perform like the singer, Mzbel, who she describes as her daughter.
She said she used to teach people how to dance before releasing her first album, which became a household name.
“Way back in Holy Child, because I normally teach people how to dance, I told myself that definitely, with my first album, I have to train people how to dance so that I can bring in something new because I realized that people were not bringing in dancers to dance”.
“When I came out with my first album, Frema, Born Again, Mey3 obaa, it was a household name because I came with dancers. Way back in school, because I used to dance, I added my dancing to it and it became something else. So that actually made me unique and made me different. If you’re going to mention some of the new musicians, that time I was like Mzbel.”
Akosua Agyapong also mentioned MzVee and Becca as artists who have similar traits as her.
