Multiple award-winning Ghanaian film director Pascal Aka has spoken about how some women slide into his message inboxes on social media to ‘tempt’ him.
In an interview Kwame Dadzie on Ghana Weekend TV, the renowned filmmaker said some ladies who want to get into acting, offer to give him their bodies instead of proving how good they are at acting.
Pascal said this when he was advising wannabe filmmakers to pitch their various talents in the appropriate manner to producers.
“For ten years, in my dms, I always get these messages: Pascal, I am an actor, please help me. Pascal, please I’m a screenwriter, please, help me. Pascal, I think I’m fine, please date me,” he quipped.
When asked if some ladies actually offer their bodies to him in exchange for movie roles, he answered in the affirmative.
“There have been actresses that try to offer their bodies, so I give them movie roles and stuff, yeah. That’s some demonic thing, but we talk about it later,” he said.
He, however, noted that he has never fallen for any of them.
“[When it happens], you just pray because it is sad. Me, I’m blessed oo, I am blessed,” he further stated.
The Gold Coast Lounge producer has therefore urged people who want to take up roles in any creative work to make use of technology and learn proper ways of pitching their ideas and talents to prospective investors.
