Ghanaian artiste Barbara Naa Nyarko popularly known, as OV has recounted how she suffered mental health issues a few years ago.
“I was on psychotic medication for some time. I’m telling you,” she said.
According to the 2018 MTN Hitmaker winner, it all happened about two years ago when she went to a show and suddenly had to leave the venue when she started feeling burning sensations.
“I was at a friend’s event okay, I no go mention his name but he be artiste we all know. When I got there, I felt like something was not right so I went out. I started feeling a burning sensation and wanted to take off my clothes,” she narrated.
“I was confined for two weeks. It got to a point where they gave me an overdose of the medicine unknowingly and I was paralyzed and drooling all over,” OV further revealed.
Speaking to Giovani Caleb on 3FM, she shot down allegations that she may have been addicted to drugs.
OV said her mental illness was a result of depression.
