Sarkodie fascinated online viewers with an incredible performance of his smash hit songs “Rollies and Cigars “ and “Lucky” on BBC radio 1Xtra’s “Afrobeat Concerto.”
The hit song “Lucky” which features Nigeria’s Rudebwoy, one half of the renowned P-square music duo, was played live in front of a full orchestra.
Sarkodie, who was the Ghanaian representative, gave a strong performance with his amazing interpretations of Rollies and Cigars and Lucky.
The two-time BET Award winner smoothly delivered great rap lines over the orchestral sound of the violins and cellos.
This simply serves to further demonstrate his versatility in that he can express himself on any style and instrumentation using solely hard-hitting bars.
Maleek Berry, a London native and two-time Mobo nominee, Nigerian singer-songwriter CKay, Kenyan singer-songwriter Nikita Kering, and Finesse singer-songwriter Pheelz all gave special live performances at the show.
