Ghanaian actress Kafui Danku is speaking out against the high cost of hair braids in Ghana.

In a Facebook post on August 10, Danku said that she was charged GHC1000 (about $200 USD) for braids at a salon in East Legon. She said that the service was poor, and that the salon owner was rude to her and her friend.

Danku blamed the high cost of hair braids on the NPP government. She said that the government’s economic policies have made it difficult for businesses to operate, which has led to higher prices for goods and services.

She also said that the government has not done enough to regulate the beauty industry, which has allowed salons to charge exorbitant prices.

The deputy minister of information, Fatimatu Abubakar, responded to Danku’s post, saying that the government is not responsible for the high cost of hair braids. She said that the market for hair braids is a free market, and that the prices are determined by supply and demand.

She also said that the government is working to improve the economy, which will hopefully lead to lower prices for goods and services, including hair braids.

Danku’s post has sparked a debate about the high cost of hair braids in Ghana. Some people agree with Danku that the government is responsible for the high prices, while others believe that the market is to blame.
