Late Ghanaian rapper OJ Blaq was laid to rest at the Gethsemane Cemetery in East Legon, Accra, on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
Before his burial, a service was held at the Empowerment Worship Center, where he served as a pastor before his death.

Some of the attendees included dignitaries, family, friends, former Achimota School students, and members of the entertainment industry, such as former GFA President Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamaklo and former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah.
Emotional tributes were given by his family, particularly his mother, Miss Mirabelle Appiah who has been inconsolable since his death.

After giving her tribute, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamaklo walked from his seat to hug the mother of the late rapper as a way of consoling her.

It was a very emotional moment, and the cameras of Ghana Weekend captured the gesture.
OJ Blaq, born Andy Nii Akrashie, was 40 years old when he passed away on Thursday, August 27, after a long battle with kidney disease.

He was one of the most popular and influential rappers in Ghana. He was also an actor who starred in the popular TV Series SunCity.
He joined Lynx Entertainment during the early days of the Label with the likes of Asem, Eazzy Baby and Richie Mensah blazed the trail for the likes of KiDI, Mzvee and Kuami Eugene
