Iconic Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has shown his support for his former signee Akwaboah by purchasing his new album “LightHouse” for GHC 3,000 at the album’s listening party.
The ‘LightHouse’ album exclusive listening party was held at the SOHO Bar in Accra on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.
It was a star-studded event with some of Ghana’s top musicians and players of the showbiz industry including Kwaisey Pee, Sarkodie, Nabil Alhassan, KOD and Andy Dosty in attendance.
Sarkodie, who had previously signed Akwaboah to his SarkCess Music and collaborated with him on many of his hit songs, bought a copy of the album that was uploaded on a pen drive and came with a headset packaged in a bag for GhC3,000 during the auction.
The ‘Adonai’ rapper then praised Akwaboah’s work ethic and dedication to his craft. He also said that he was impressed with the quality of the songs on the album.
“Akwaboah is a very talented musician and I have been a fan of his for many years…I am very proud of him for releasing this album. It is a great piece of work and I highly recommend it to everyone.”
The 11-track ‘LightHouse’ album, which is scheduled for release on November 24, 2023, includes “Asikyere” featuring Sarkodie, “My Darling” featuring Kwabena Kwabena, and “Odo Do Me” featuring Strongman.
