On Sunday, November 26, 2023, the National Theatre was transformed into a sanctuary of praise and worship as legendary gospel musician and sound engineer Nana Osei known professionally as Nacee held his much-anticipated Kavod Concert.
The inaugural KAVOD concert was an enthralling blend of music and theatre. Its centrepiece is an engaging stage play chronicling Nacee’s difficult road to stardom.
The play began in a simulated recording studio, where the actor playing Nacee recounted the story of his life to studio guests.
One of the highlights of the sold-out concert was the magnificent stage entry by the legendary musician.
Clad in a shining white robe, Nacee emerged from the depths of the National Theatre with a standing mic. The patrons were awed as they watched the legendary singer make the magnificent entry.
It was really refreshing watching a gospel musician put up such an iconic performance.
Comedians; Clemento Suarez and Foster Romanus, and a host of gospel musicians also performed on the night.
