Emeka Rollas, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has provided insights into the passing of Nollywood luminary John Okafor, widely known as Mr. Ibu.
In an Instagram post shared on Saturday, Rollas disclosed that Mr. Ibu had “succumbed to a cardiac arrest.”
Additionally, he confirmed the unfortunate loss of actress Kate Henshaw’s mother on the same day.
Expressing deep sorrow, Rollas stated: “Today is a mournful day for the Actors Guild of Nigeria. Kate Henshaw mourns the loss of her mother, while Mr. Ibu, as per his manager of 24 years, Mr. Don Single Nwuzor, suffered a cardiac arrest.
“With heavy hearts, I convey the sad news that Mr. Ibu has passed away. May his soul find eternal rest.”
