US singer Ariana Grande’s divorce from Dalton Gomez has been officially confirmed, marking the end of their nearly three-year marriage.
The judgment, issued by the Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, has finalized the separation between the 30-year-old pop sensation and the 28-year-old real estate broker.
Ariana Grande, who filed for divorce six months ago citing irreconcilable differences, will be making a one-time payment of $1.25 million to Mr. Gomez as part of their settlement agreement.
Additionally, Mr. Gomez will receive half of the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home. The singer will also cover up to $25,000 in legal fees for Mr. Gomez, with no provision for future alimony.
Their relationship began in January 2020, just before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and culminated in a “tiny and intimate” wedding ceremony at the pop-star’s Montecito, California home in May 2021.
Court documents reveal that the couple had been separated for over a year, with a prenuptial agreement in place and no legal disputes. Their lack of children contributed to the swift finalization of the divorce.
Mr. Gomez, a native of southern California, boasts a decade of experience in the luxury real estate market, according to his profile on the AKG website.
The couple first made headlines in February 2020 when they were spotted sharing a kiss at a Los Angeles restaurant.
Grande, a recipient of two Grammy Awards, recently released her seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine,” on March 8, 2024.
She is also set to star in the film adaptation of the musical “Wicked,” portraying the good witch Glinda, alongside Tony Award-winning actress Cynthia Erivo, Oscar-winning Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, and US actor Jeff Goldblum.
The film is slated for release in November, 2024.
