Contemporary Ghanaian gospel musician Esther Smith recently opened up about a deeply personal chapter in her life, shedding light on the reasons behind her decision to relocate from Ghana to Germany several years ago.
In an exclusive interview on TV3’s *The Afternoon Show*, the beloved ‘Ma Wosan’ hitmaker revealed that her move was primarily motivated by the urgent health needs of her third son. Born prematurely at just seven months, her son was diagnosed with a severe heart condition that required specialized medical care unavailable in Ghana at the time.

Faced with this challenging situation, Esther made the difficult choice to leave her flourishing career and personal life in Ghana to ensure her son received the necessary treatment in Germany. Her decision to prioritize her son’s health over her career was a testament to her unwavering love and dedication as a mother.
Fortunately, her sacrifices have paid off. Her son, once a fragile premature baby with a heart condition, has not only recovered but has also defied expectations by becoming a healthy and active footballer. Reflecting on those difficult times, Esther expressed gratitude, noting that her faith in God had been her anchor throughout the ordeal.

Esther Smith’s journey underscores the lengths to which a mother will go to secure her child’s well-being. Her inspiring story also adds depth to her music, which continues to touch the hearts of many.
Now back in Ghana, Esther is set to headline two major concerts: one at Bantama Pentecost in Kumasi on Sunday, August 25th, and another at the Perez Dome in Accra on Friday, August 30th. These highly anticipated worship experiences will feature a dynamic lineup of performances, including some of her classic hits, new compositions, and guest appearances by top gospel musicians. Thousands of worshippers and music lovers are expected to attend these events, making them unforgettable moments of praise and worship.
