Ghanaian rapper and singer Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, widely known as Amerado, has sparked buzz with his newfound habit of constantly chewing toffees.
The versatile rapper and singer is rarely seen without a toffee in his mouth during interviews, public appearances, or casual outings—leading fans and media to dub it his “new trademark.”
Appearing on Okay FM’s Ekwanso Dwoodwoo with host Nana Romeo, Amerado was asked whether his frequent toffee chewing affects his manhood or bedroom performance.
The award-winning artist brushed off the question with humour, saying, “I don’t use it for anything o… it’s just there like that, so if it will die koraa, it should die,” prompting laughter in the studio.
When asked if he would cut back on toffees, he responded firmly: “As for the toffee, I won’t stop anytime soon.”
Amerado also took a lighthearted jab at modern relationships, commenting on what he sees as excessive demands from some women.
“These days the way women dey demand too much just because of what God give them down there, I just dey mind my business,” he said.
