Veteran highlife musician Kaakyire Kwame Appiah will lead a vigil walk to honour his late colleague and friend, Dada KD, who passed away on May 15, 2025.
The event aims to celebrate the enduring legacy of the highlife icon.
The vigil walk is set for Friday, June 20, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM. Participants will gather at Unity Oil in Achimota and proceed to the forecourt of Despite Media, where the event will conclude.
Speaking on Peace FM, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah emphasised the significance of Dada KD’s contributions to highlife music.
“He has paid his dues so well, and it’s only right we honor his memory in this way,” he said, inviting fans, colleagues, and well-wishers to join the tribute.
