Award-winning Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has declined to disclose how much he was paid for the special refix of his hit song Overlord, which was used to celebrate Mohammed Kudus’ move to English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on July 16, Stonebwoy cited a non-disclosure agreement as the reason for his silence on the amount involved.
“What if I’m not supposed to mention because of a disclosure clause?” he responded when asked about the rumored fee.
Stonebwoy’s comments follow widespread speculation about the supposed large sum he allegedly charged the Black Stars midfielder. However, he said he has no issue with the rumors.
“Sometimes I don’t think it hurts if people are speculating certain amounts. I don’t think it’s bad news. It’s just their own ideas,” he stated.
He emphasized that beyond the figures being thrown around, the real focus should be on the value the collaboration brings.
“The value is not only benefiting me the creator, neither is it benefiting only the footballer, but it’s benefiting both of us and Ghana,” Stonebwoy added.
The buzz surrounding the Overlord refix began after a video went viral on social media showing Kudus vibing to the personalized version of the track.
The footage, which has gained massive traction, captures the jubilant spirit of the Ghanaian football star as he marks his high-profile, multi-million-pound transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
