Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, has died at age 71, according to TMZ Sports.
The news broke on July 24, 2025, via posts on X, with TMZ citing sources confirming the legendary wrestler’s passing.
No official cause of death has been disclosed, and the story is still developing.
Hogan, a WWE Hall of Famer, was a cultural phenomenon in the 1980s and 1990s, known for his larger-than-life persona, signature bandana, and catchphrase, “Hulkamania is running wild!”
He won the WWE Championship six times and was a key figure in professional wrestling’s mainstream rise. His career also included stints in WCW, where he led the New World Order (nWO), and appearances in reality TV and films.
Recent posts on X highlighted Hogan’s controversial legacy, including past allegations of infidelity and physical abuse by his ex-wife, as well as debunked claims, like receiving a voicemail from Roddy Piper after Piper’s death.
Despite these, Hogan remained a polarising yet influential figure in wrestling.
TMZ previously reported in June 2025 that Hogan was hospitalised for neck and back issues, dispelling earlier death rumors.
The current report, however, confirms his passing, marking the end of an era for wrestling fans.
