Ghanaian urban gospel sensation Scott Evans has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to his Christian faith, declaring that he would “rather sell plantain by the roadside” than abandon his mission for God to pursue secular music.
Speaking in an interview with Nii Noi on Hitz Praise Zone on Sunday November 9, the “100 Percent” hitmaker opened up about his purpose in gospel music and the conviction that drives his journey.
“There’s no pressure on me at all. I’m just serving a King and relaying His message to the people,” he said.
Scott Evans explained that his focus remains on reaching hearts with the gospel rather than chasing fame or industry validation.
“My focus is to reach those who truly need the word of God. Even if one soul is touched, there’s a party in heaven, and that’s enough for me,” he added.
When asked if he would ever consider switching to secular music, the award-winning artiste gave a firm response:
“If I ever get the chance to be a secular artiste, I’ll rather sell plantain by the roadside instead. There’s nothing attractive in it for me.”
