Ghanaian singer and performer Kelvyn Boy has narrowly escaped what he describes as a potentially tragic accident after a vehicle lost control and reversed towards him while he was on a sidewalk.

In a post on his Instagram posted 23 December 2025, the incident occurred a few days ago at the rear section of the Center Point Mall, where the artiste was walking when a driver reportedly lost control while reversing.

According to Kelvyn Boy, the situation could have ended fatally if not for the quick reaction of two members of his team, who spotted the danger early and pulled him out of harm’s way.

Although his life was spared, the accident left the musician with a fractured ankle, forcing him to temporarily slow down physically while remaining mentally focused on his commitments.

In a message filled with gratitude, Kelvyn Boy thanked God for preserving his life, describing the experience as a reminder of how fragile life can be.

He also extended his apologies to promoters whose events he has been unable to attend due to the injury, as well as to fans who were expecting to see him perform.

The artiste assured stakeholders that his management team is already working to reschedule missed shows, adding that he is determined not to allow the setback to derail his plans for the remainder of the year.

Despite the injury, Kelvyn Boy struck a defiant tone, stating that he is prepared to perform even with crutches if necessary, as he races against time to honour upcoming bookings.

He concluded with a message urging the public to stay safe and remain thankful for life.
