American Christian worship leader, singer, and songwriter Ron Kenoly has passed away at the age of 81.

The legendary gospel artiste’s death has been confirmed by several artists via their social media pages.

Born on 6th December 1944 in Coffeyville, Kansas, US, Kenoly began his music career following his service in the United States Air Force.

He was originally a member of a group called The Mellow Fellows, but family issues led him to leave the group.

His breakthrough came in 1992 when ‘Lift Him Up’ became the fastest-selling worship album.

He was also the talent behind hit songs such as ‘Majesty’, ‘Righteousness, ‘Peace & Joy’, ‘Anointing’, ‘All Honour’, and ‘Sing Out’, among others.
