Ghanaian music duo Keche have broken their silence after failing to secure a single nomination at the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards, suggesting they may have been victims of the ‘mafia’ within the awards system.
In a post shared on X, the duo, made up of Keche Andrew and Keche Joshua, expressed concern about the fairness of the nomination process after reportedly attending the nominees’ announcement event but left without receiving a single nomination.
“They invited us but zero nomination, herrr mafia Paa this,” the group wrote.
‘Mafia’ is a word commonly used in Ghana to suggest unfairness.
Despite their disappointment, the duo expressed optimism about their prospects, pointing to their new song, Selina, as their comeback moment.
