Ghanaian musician Isaac Obeng Mensah, popularly known as Barosky, has opened up about his difficult circumstances in Manchester, United Kingdom, revealing that he is currently homeless, unemployed and struggling to meet his basic needs.
Known for collaborations with highlife artistes including Ofori Amponsah and Kofi Nti, Barosky made the revelation in an interview with media personality Nana Romeo, monitored by GhanaWeekend.
He said he has been relying on others for food and has gone days without bathing because he has no accommodation.
“I am homeless. I haven’t bathed in a while because I don’t have accommodation. People offer me food because I am unemployed at the moment,” he said.
Barosky also appealed for accommodation and assistance to enable him to return to Ghana, saying he has lost touch with his family and has only a few friends in the UK.
“I need accommodation and I also need to return home to Ghana.”
He further disclosed that his passport is currently with the police but fears going to retrieve it because he would be required to provide an address, which he does not have.
Barosky, known for his distinctive ragga style, gained recognition through collaborations on Kofi Nti’s Rakia and Ofori Amponsah’s Otoolege.
He later released his 10-track debut solo album, Okyerewaa Ba, in 2006.
