Veteran Nigerian actor Jim Iyke has claimed that the entertainment industry is largely influenced by what he described as satanic values, arguing that it encourages self-glorification rather than the pursuit of God.

Speaking in an interview with media personality Joey Akan, Jim Iyke said the entertainment industry is structured to promote self-worship.

“There is no bigger enabler than the entertainment industry. This is where demons live. Entertainment is totally created and orchestrated to extol the virtues of Satanism.

“What in the entertainment industry glorifies God except you intentionally or consciously pursue Him? Is it the blatant life?

“What do we extol that is godly? I am not saying God doesn’t exist in the entertainment industry. I am saying the entertainment industry is predominantly created for satanism.”

The actor recounted a period in his career when he believed he was extraordinary because of the way fans reacted to him. He said he later came to view those experiences differently after finding God.

“I have been there. I have seen people cry when I walked into a room and I looked at them and thought I was special. No, you are not,” he said.

According to Jim Iyke, creatives can create because they reflect God’s creative nature, but he believes many people in the entertainment industry choose to serve themselves instead.

“As a creative, to create is to mimic God. But in the entertainment structure, many serve themselves. You can’t serve God and serve yourself. That is a conflict of interest. Serving oneself is Satanism itself.

“When you extol yourself to god-like status, when you think you should be worshipped or the laws should not apply to you anymore, you are literally worshipped.

“Once you find your place with God, you will understand what is special. What is special is being able to find God in this place that is devoid of his presence.”

“There is no bigger enabler than the entertainment industry. This is where demons live. Entertainment is totally created and orchestrated to extol the virtues of Satanism.”
