Veteran actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, has reflected on the changes that come with ageing, urging younger people to remember that life eventually catches up with everyone.
In a video seen on social media by Ghanaweekend, the celebrated actress spoke about how active and energetic she was during her younger years, when she could confidently walk in high heels, dance and enjoy an admired lifestyle.
Maame Dokono, who was once widely celebrated for her beauty and vibrant personality, contrasted those youthful years with her present condition as she walked.
“You are all going to grow up to be like me, look at the way I am walking now. I can’t imagine the times that I used to stand on my high heels and then walk and dance and all that, but look at me, so this is life. Remember that.”
Her comments offered a candid reflection on the inevitability of ageing and the physical changes that come with it.
Known for her decades-long contribution to Ghana’s film and television industry, Maame Dokono has remained a familiar face to generations of Ghanaians, particularly through her work in acting and television.
