A Ghanaian music monitoring platform, Qisimah on today 14th May shared insight on music content aired on music shows on Ghanaian media platforms from the period of 1st January 2019 to 30th April 2019.
According to the report sighted by Ghana Weekend, Ghanaian music took a greater portion of the air space during the first quarter of 2019 leading with 84% and other international music content following with 16%.

Can we attribute this massive success to the popular Ghana month/Heritage month celebrations in March or a general shift of preference from media personalities and DJ’s?
Will this cause an increase in royalties been paid by the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) to musicians?
