Rosemond Brown, popularly known as Akwapem Poloo has said in an interview that she is disappointed in Glitz Style Awards organizers.

Speaking to Zion Felix on the ‘Uncut’ she said the event is not talk of town because she did not make an appearance.

According to her, she is a fashion icon who deserves recognition and that even if she did not get it, others should have been nominated and not the celebrities who step on the red carpet with slit and Kaba.

When asked why she not seen at the just ended Glitz Awards, she replied, “I’m disappointed in them. Zion let’s put all jokes aside. When we talk about fashion you know I ‘chew’ fashion. I always break the red carpet. Have you seen that no one is talking about glitz since I didn’t attend? Glitz is not everywhere”

She said her appearance at the Golden Movie Awards made it to Uganda magazine.

“Golden Movie Awards was featured in Uganda magazine because of me. I’ll post it tomorrow. We break internet so how can you nominate people who don’t even appear on Red Carpet at all? Even if they appear on Red Carpet, they put on slit and ‘kaba.’ Is it fashion? How do you define fashion, Glitz Awards? She quizzed.

“When you come on my page I do fashion. When I go on red carpet, I don’t just appear on red carpet. I appear in styles. We have Efia Odo,Moesha, a lot of them. Hajia 4 Real, when she step on the red carpet you’ll bow. Look at what some people wore to Glitz, 3 cedi ‘material’. Ankara 3 cedi a yard and they sew to Glitz Awards. Is this fashion? I’m so disappointed in you”.

She, however, added that King Promise deserves the award he was honoured on the night.

“It’s good you gave it to King Promise because for him he promised us big shoe and he brought it on the red carpet so it’s fashion”.

She concluded by saying she is not bothered about not being nominated and that she is fighting for colleague female celebrities.

“Oh if not me kraa, I know Ghanaians most of them hate me. I was nominated for Ghana Movie Awards, I got there and the category was taken off and they moved the people that I was on the same category with to another category, they didn’t mention my category so me I don’t expect Ghanaians even to give me awards again. Moreover, I have 4 awards already so if you don’t give me awards you’re not doing me any harm”.

“But I’m talking in terms of my very own sisters who look classy and sexy on red carpet, who kill themselves for red carpet.[she mentions a couple of known people]they kill themselves for fashion so if you want to nominate someone for fashion, is not people who wear slit and kaba. Do we take slit and kaba to fashion? Look at what they brought to Glitz Awards, they are the worst dress. Be study, Glitz Awards if not, you’ll not like me in Ghana here. You’ll hear from me”.
