Ghanaian actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson has disclosed that motherhood has made her hypertensive.
Although she disclosed her daughter is in school now and they even do her homework together, she describes being a mother as a tough task adding that “it’s hard. It’s stressful. Sometimes it gets to me and I get so stressed and I have to call my doctor.
“I always have my BP machine close to my bed” she added.
Speaking to Jessica and Just Kwamina on Citi FM’s traffic avenue, she said the whole motherhood experience was new and scary that she thought she was going to die alongside the baby.
She further explained her water broke when she was at home all alone and the people she called were not around to take her to the hospital. She narrated how she got to the hospital with her daughter’s head already out.
“After pregnancy, I developed high blood pressure because she was coming in the car so I got scared…because I was holding her head in the car. When I got to Lester, her head was out so it was crazy”.
“My water broke on my bed and there was no one around. I called Sammy Forson, he wasn’t home. I called Nii, my neighbour he wasn’t home and I had to call like a random neighbour of mine” she narrated.
