Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, says he considers himself a ‘man of God’ who preaches through his songs.
Stonebwoy, who was speaking in an interview with Bernard Avle on Citi TV’s Point of View show about his career journey and activism, explained that communicating positive messages through music is his calling and by doing that, he qualifies to be called a man of God.
The 2015 VGMA Artiste of the Year, said, even though his father is a Christian preacher with the Deeper Life Ministry, he has chosen a different path to minister to people through impactful lyrics, philanthropy, and activism.
Stonebwoy’s recently-released song, titled, Greedy Men, talks about corruption at various levels in society with a focus on illegal mining and its impact on the environment.
The release of the music video also coincides with the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 26) which is ongoing in Glasgow, Scotland.
Stonebwoy was adjudged the Artiste of the Year at the 2015 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
