New Lynx Entertainment signee, Sam Oladotun, has advised young people to stay focused while pursuing their passion to enable them to become successful in life.
According to the gospel singer, his own life story is a testimony of how hard work and perseverance can change adversity to victory.
Sam Oladotun was on Citi TV’s The Chat show to promote his new EP, titled ‘Songs of Victory’.
Sharing his life story, Sam Oladotun said he decided to take his destiny into his own hands at a young age and started selling items while in school after realising that his parents were struggling to make ends meet.
He added that things worsened for him and his three siblings when their parents broke up.
“I felt like things would have been better if they were together, but I knew I had to grow up very fast because I had people who also looked up to me.”
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, to a Ghanaian father and a Beninoise mother, Sam Oladotun relocated to Ghana at age 15 to pursue his passion.
He is a product of Citi TV’s Voice Factory, having emerged as first-runner-up in the Season 4 of the singing competition in 2019.
His new project, Songs of Victory, was launched on Friday, October 22 at the Destiny Nation Church in Tema.
The 6-track EP is currently available on all major music streaming platforms with songs like Ayeyi, Okokroko, and Holy Water.
