This year’s Super Bowl halftime show was a star-studded event that featured musicians like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar.
A few other special guests like 50 cent made some appearances as well. He came out and performed upside down, a callback to his classic In Da Club music video.
Anderson Paak also made a brief appearance on the drums, performing alongside Eminem later in the act.
The halftime show was somewhat centered around hip hop icon Dr. Dre.
All four of the other artists have collaborated with Dre, with three of the performers all showing up on Dre’s album “2001.”
This year’s show was the third straight to be co-produced by Roc Nation, the entertainment and sports company led by Jay-Z, which partnered with the N.F.L. in 2019.
This year’s halftime show was the since 2012 that five musical artists performed.
