After facing resistance and cancellations across parts of Europe, Kanye West is pressing ahead with a bold new plan, bringing his vision directly to Tirana with a custom-built temporary stadium for a landmark summer concert.
The concert scheduled for July 11 will take place at the Air Albania Stadium.
While the venue typically holds around 22,500 spectators, Ye is taking matters into his own hands by spearheading the construction of a temporary purpose-built stadium designed to accommodate up to 60,000 fans.
This ambitious move follows pushback from several European countries over hosting the rapper’s performances, making Albania’s decision to welcome the artist even more significant.
Rather than scaling back, Ye is amplifying his approach, transforming the concert into a large-scale architectural and artistic statement.
The custom venue is expected to feature his now-iconic half-globe stage design, recently unveiled during his comeback shows in Los Angeles.
Known for merging music with avant-garde production, Ye’s Albania concert is shaping up to be both a performance and an immersive visual experience.
By taking direct control of the infrastructure behind the show, Ye continues to redefine the boundaries of live music production, turning controversy into momentum and delivering what could be one of the most talked-about events of the summer.
