Ghanaian artiste Amaarae will ditch her music business to become a pastor in the future.
“After I’m done making my mark as an artist, actor, model, mogul ima gon ahead and fulfill my true destiny as a pastor,” she tweeted.
She wouldn’t be the first Ghanaian musician to have left secular music for the work of God.
Gemann, Paapa Shee, Lord Kenya, Yaw Siki, Azigiza Jnr., and other entertainers have charted the same path, too.
Amaarae, based in the United States of America, has been very visible on the international music scene, raking in great numbers on streaming platforms.
She has been nominated in the 2022 Entertainment Achievement Awards for Female Artiste of the Year, Music Video of the Year, and Entertainment Personality of the Year categories.
