Prophet Gideon Baffour, a Ghanaian prophet based in the United States of America, has said that it is not wrong for a man of God to own a gun.
While a lot of people hold the opinion that pastors and prophets are soaked in God’s protection and need no physical protection, Prophet Baffour of the Eagle House Church thinks others.
“Wisdom is very important. The Bible says, for of lack of knowledge my people perish. The fact that Bible says you’ll be protected when you walk on scorpions does not mean you should intentionally walk on them,” he told Frankly 5 in an interview on Hitz FM, explaining why he has a gun.
He added that in America, he wields a gun as a hobby.
Touching on his life-changing encounter, he said that before he got into ministry, he had lived all manner of recalcitrant lifestyles.
At age 11, he was on the street selling weed and engaging in robbery.
Although his father was a pastor at that time, he was divorced from the word of God, also because he lived with people other than his parents. He attributed his waywardness to broken home and bad peer influence.
Recounting how he got saved by Christ, he said he once accompanied a friend called Ebo who had been denied a USA visa twice to see a pastor for prayers.
The pastor then prophesied to him that he would become a prophet one day.
