After claiming that he sacked Abena Korkor from his car after she made advances towards him, the former captain of Ghana’s senior national football team, Asamoah Gyan, has been accused of lying to save face.
According to Abena Korkor, Asamoah Gyan had previously invited her to his house with the intention to sleep with her, so the footballer’s claims could not be the true account of what happened.
Abena Korkor said she tried to keep mute about her relationship with Gyan because of his revered status as national team captain until he came out to create an impression that she was stalking him.
The former Black Star striker had claimed that he once ran across Abena Korkor, who jumped into his vehicle and requested a ride.
Gyan said he immediately asked her to exit his vehicle, leaving her embarrassed at Rockstone’s Office (now Django Bar).
However, speaking about the encounter, Abena Korkor said she only wanted to sit in the car because her feet were hurting, and that Gyan had been worrying her with sex requests.
