The Chief Executive Officer of the Lynx Entertainment Record label, Richie Mensah, has recounted how his mother helped him to fund the establishment of his first recording studio when he started the music business.

Recounting how he struggled to get into the music industry during the launch of activities for the label’s 15th anniversary, Richie mentioned how his mother, upon realising the potential he had, used her teaching salary to get him a loan to buy equipment for his recording studio.

“She used her teacher’s salary to go and take a loan and bought equipment. I was in tears on that day because it was crazy,” he said.

He also acknowledged his brother Albert Mensah, friends, and all other people in the industry who contributed to the building of his music career.

Richie announced that as the company grows it has expanded its operations by establishing the Lynx Group of Companies which comprises the talent management wing, a recording studio component, and the Tigon Studios which will handle video productions.

As part of spreading its tentacles, the outfit has also signed media personality Sika Osei, actor Adjetey Anang, comedian Lawyer Nti, singer BoyJake, and Adina who has already released her first single for the label.

At the launch of the Lynx Legacy celebration on April 6, 2022, at the Lynx Ghana office, it was announced that there will be an album featuring all the artistes that have ever worked with the label, as well as a musical concert.
