The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) is once again reminding the public about their tax obligations for items they receive as gifts.
This comes on the back of a viral video of a social media influencer and CEO of Dulce Emporium, Dulcie Boateng, who decided to give her best-friend GHS 50,000 cash as a birthday gift.
Seizing the opportunity to educate the public, the GRA stated via its Twitter handle that people who receive gifts of that nature must render account of its details and pay a percentage of the amount as tax to the government.
