Shatta Wale and Kofi Kinaata did not perform at the just ended Ghana Party in the Park which was held in London.
The festival which took place in London on Saturday, July 16, 2022, did not see the two top Ghanaian acts perform although they were billed as headline acts.
The organisers released a statement to apologise, stating that it was due to “reasons beyond their control.”
“We are very sorry to announce that our advertised artistes, Shatta Wale and Kofi Kinaata will not be attending Ghana Party in the Park due to reasons out of our control,” they wrote.

Kofi Kinaata’s team also released a statement to this effect.

Shatta Wale has not officially spoken to this but he made tweets suggesting that the organisers may not have met his demands.

The programme which saw a display of Ghanaian music, dance, fashion, a durbar of chiefs, had artistes like Gyakie, Kelvynboy, Sidney, Barosky, Eugy Official, and Camidoh entertain the audience.
There were also performances from Ofori Amponsah, KK Fosu and Kofi Nti.
