For many Ghanaian musicians, the golden crown of the world’s music industry is the Grammy Awards.
It’s often been thought that winning a Grammy is an indication that an artiste has finally arrived, but, guess what? Ghanaian Rapper, Amerado Burner, disagrees.
The ‘Yeete Nsem’ hitmaker who was speaking on Cape Coast-based Asaase Radio’s Nitro Avenue show with Candymann said: “Grammy is not a standard for greatness; I don’t believe that. We don’t have to accept the notion that, a musician must win a Grammy before he or she is respected. If an artiste is able to grow from steps one to two, that’s enough. If the Grammy comes, fine; that’s a bonus.” he concluded.
The current 3music Awards’ Best Rapper in Ghana is promoting his debut album, G.I.N.A with songs like ‘Grace’ ft Lasmid, ‘Nyame Dada’ ft Fameye, and ‘Got You’ ft Efya.
