Saturday, December 10, 2022 was a show of “true love.”
Tickets were sold at GHC80.00 for stage play lovers to come see a stage play by Kobina Ansah – “Once Upon A Riddle” at the National Theatre, the play was to show at two different times, first show was slated for 3:00pm, and the second was to show at 7:00pm.
Audiences had converged and were seated to watch the first show of the play.
Minutes into the first show, there was power outage, one that lasted for over over two-hours.
After the power was restored, the theatre was filled to the brim as audiences couldn’t wait to watch the most anticipated play, Once Upon A Riddle.
The play, which went alongside singing was a successful one.
Once Upon A Riddle, written by playwright Kobina Ansah talks of a 34 year old Ghanaian hip-hop superstar, Max Bee, who is so full of himself.
Unfortunately for him, while parrying with friends, celebrating his 35th birthday, he slumps and passes out. He was rushed to the hospital, there, he received the news that made him realise Life was, is and will never be about riches and wealth.
He was diagnosed of terminal lung cancer. One that has reached its 4th stage leaving him with six months more to live.

This news devasted him so much. One day, he met this mysterious crazy-looking man who tells him that he can give him an extra life if only he can answer his Riddle correctly.
This play, was filled with so much to reflect on in Life.
Basically, it teaches that Life is the Greatest Gift of Life.
14 songs in total were performed, 12 however were performed for the very first time on the night.
