In a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, actor and musician Jamie Foxx spoke for the first time since he was hospitalized for an undisclosed condition.

Foxx did not specify his illness, but he thanked his fans and supporters for their prayers and well wishes. He also said that he was “on the road to recovery” and that he was “coming back.”

The actor said that he decided to keep his illness private because he “didn’t want [fans] to see [him] like that.” He added that he was “trying to figure out if [he] was going to make it through” and that he didn’t want people to see him “with tubes.”

Foxx also credited his family for being a strong support system during his illness. He said that his sister and daughter “saved [his] life” and that he was “so grateful” for their love and support.

The actor said that he was “emotional” about his experience and that he might “burst into tears” from time to time. He asked fans to “remember [him] for the jokes [he] crack, the movies [he] make, and the songs [he] sing.”

Foxx concluded the video by saying that he was “on his way back in love.” He thanked his fans and supporters for their love and support and said that he was “grateful to be alive.”

The video has been viewed over 2 million times and has received thousands of comments from fans. Many fans expressed their support for Foxx and wished him a speedy recovery. Others shared their own stories of overcoming illness.
