Private Legal Practitioner, Martin Kpebu has addressed the possibility of a jail term for actor Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Lilwin.
Lilwin on Monday, June 3, 2024, was arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction.
The actor was charged with careless and inconsiderate driving resulting in one death.
He was, however, granted a Ghc 50, 000 bail with two sureties.
Commenting on the possible punishment for Kwadwo Nkansah, if he is found guilty of the charges levelled against him, Martin Kpebu indicated that there is the possibility of him being incarcerated.
“In terms of penalties, imprisonment is possible, but fines are typically imposed. However, in particularly severe cases, imprisonment can occur, and it can be up to five years,” Kpebu explained during an interview with Joy FM.
To him, because a 3-year-old is dead it will be imperative for Lilwin to be jailed to serve as a deterrent to many reckless drivers on the roads in Ghana.
