Singer Dr Ama Kutin has been crowned “Female Vocalist of the Year USA” at the 2024 Ghana Music Awards USA (GMA USA),

This prestigious event, which marked the 5th anniversary of the annual award scheme, took place on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in New Jersey. The GMA USA is renowned for celebrating excellence and hard work among musicians within the United States, Ghana, and beyond, and this year’s edition was no exception.

Dr. Ama Kutin’s victory in the “Female Vocalist of the Year USA” category is particularly noteworthy, as she competed against some of the industry’s finest talents.

Among those she surpassed were Herty Corgie, Elizha, Melody Frimpong, and Baaba Lin, all of whom have made significant contributions to the music scene. However, it was Dr. Ama Kutin’s soulful and powerful delivery in her song ‘Thank You’ that secured her the win.

The track, which is part of her critically acclaimed “Journey” album, has been a favourite among fans and critics alike.

The triumph of ‘Thank You’ at the GMA USA was further amplified when Dr. Ama Kutin released the official visuals for the song just a day after her win.

The music video is a visual masterpiece, rich in colour and emotion, perfectly complementing the soothing and heartfelt vocals that Dr Ama Kutin is known for.

This latest release has once again reaffirmed her status as the “Queen of Vocals,” a title she has earned through years of dedication to her craft.

Dr. Ama Kutin’s success at the GMA USA is not an isolated incident. Just a few months prior, she was recognized at the Syracuse Area Music Awards (SAMMYs), where her “Journey” album won in the category of “Best Other Style”. This recognition highlights her versatility as an artist and her ability to connect with audiences across different musical genres.

Signed to Seven7 Africa, Dr. Ama Kutin has been steadily building a global presence with her music. The management team has been instrumental in promoting her work, and together they have achieved significant milestones, particularly with the “Journey” album.

As Dr. Ama Kutin continues to break barriers and reach new heights in her career, her latest accolade at the GMA USA is a testament to her talent, hard work, and the powerful impact of her music.
