Singer Reekado Banks and his girlfriend have welcomed their first child, coinciding with the second-year remembrance of his late mother.
The emotional day marked a bittersweet celebration for Reekado Banks, who took to Instagram to share his journey.
Reekado honoured his mother with a photo, writing, “Mother, today, 2 years ago, we said our goodbyes, but I see you never left.”
He then announced his fatherhood, expressing gratitude, “Because how is it 2 years after, I’m leaving the hospital, thankful for the blessings of Fatherhood.”
The singer also praised his partner’s strength, promising eternal love.
“Nothing but deep appreciation to my woman for 10 months of absolute show of grit and strength. Love you forever,” he wrote.
