Renowned Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., popularly known as Shatta Wale, has encouraged up-and-coming musicians to remain steadfast in their careers despite the challenges they may encounter.
Speaking during a live stream on TikTok, Shatta Wale emphasised the importance of hard work and perseverance in the music industry.
“Just keep working. If the first song doesn’t bring money, the second one will. I played my first single—it was a hit. The second one didn’t go well. It took me 10 years to come back here,” he shared.
He also highlighted the need for the creative industry to embrace innovation and adapt to evolving trends. According to him, putting effective structures in place will ensure better management and sustainability in the industry.
