Participants of the 2025 Heritage Caravan, organized by Channel One TV/Citi FM to celebrate Ghana’s rich cultural heritage, explored the Maaha Beach Village mini port in Azulewanu, Western Region, where they embarked on an exhilarating boat ride.

The boat ride was conducted in batches, ensuring all participants had the opportunity to experience the scenic water adventure.

The group also visited the Maaha Beach Village at Bakanta, where they enjoyed a barbecue and participated in games sponsored by Pomo and Gino.

Earlier on Saturday, March 8, the participants, lodging at Maaha Beach Resort, traveled to the Ghana-Ivory Coast border, making stops at Elubo and Noé.

The day’s activities were sponsored by GB Foods.

Later in the evening, the ‘Caravanites’ are set to enjoy a formal dinner and live band performance by the Nkyinkyim Band.

The Heritage Caravan is expected to conclude its journey and return to Accra on Sunday, March 9.

The Heritage Caravan aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Ghana’s cultural diversity.

The 2025 Heritage Caravan has been lauded for its seamless organization and engaging activities, offering participants an immersive journey through Ghana’s history and culture.

The event, a flagship initiative by Channel One TV and Citi FM, promotes domestic tourism and encourages Ghanaians to discover the treasures within their own country. Each year, it attracts a diverse group of participants eager to uncover the hidden gems of Ghana.

This year’s Caravan, began on March 2, 2025, and will continue until March 9, 2025, spanning 14 of Ghana’s regions.

The journey, which started from the Greater Accra Region, includes stops in the Volta Region, Northern Region, and Ashanti Region, among others.

Each destination was carefully selected to highlight the unique culture, cuisine, and attractions of the area. From guided tours and cultural performances to culinary delights and engaging with local communities, the Caravan provides a comprehensive and immersive experience.

The Heritage Caravan is supported by a range of sponsors, including the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), Hollard Insurance, OmniBSIC, Appolonia City, Standard Water, Peeva Beverages, GB Foods, and GOIL PLC, with the Ghana Tourism Authority as a partner.
