The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), led by its new CEO Maame Efua Houadjeto, has paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.
The meeting aimed to formally introduce the new CEO and seek the king’s blessings for upcoming tourism activities in the region.
During the visit, Houadjeto emphasised the importance of the Ga Mantse’s support, stating, “We believe that a number of activities happen on your land, and it is only proper and respectful to come officially to introduce myself as the new CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
“We seek permission to ensure that all our planned activities are conducted with your blessing.”
The delegation presented traditional gifts, including schnapps, in accordance with local customs.
King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II graciously accepted the offerings and urged the GTA to prioritise job creation for youth in the community, highlighting the need for progress and development within Accra.
