Ghanaian music star Wendy Shay has urged women to support and stand by men who are striving to build a better future.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, June 15, Wendy celebrated men who work tirelessly to provide for their families, and advised women not to abandon struggling but hardworking partners in pursuit of wealthier ones.
“Before the day ends, I want to tell my ladies that if you are with a guy who is trying and grinding so hard to build something or make ends meet, encourage them and don’t leave them and chase a wealthy man because their money is not your money,” she wrote.
Shay used the occasion of Father’s Day to honour the dedication of men who, despite challenges, go out of their way to provide for their partners and families.
“On this Father’s Day, I want to celebrate the good men out there who are also grinding and going out of their way to make it happen for their women. We appreciate you and we pray you reap the fruit of your labour.”
Wendy Shay’s post quickly resonated with many online, sparking conversations around loyalty, love, and the value of effort over material wealth.
