Seasoned broadcast journalist Kafui Dey has announced his departure from the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) after four years as host of GTV Breakfast.
In a statement released on July 24, 2025, Dey expressed gratitude for the experience and signaled the start of a new chapter.
Dey’s tenure on GTV Breakfast began on August 2, 2021. Reflecting on his time at GTV, he thanked the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, its Director-General, co-presenters, producers, directors, crew, social media team, and guests who contributed to the show’s success.
“For the highs, the lows, and the memories, I’m truly thankful,” Dey said in his statement. He also extended an apology to anyone he may have offended during his time on air.
The veteran journalist emphasised that this is not a farewell but the close of one chapter, expressing optimism about future collaborations.
“I believe our paths will cross again—and when they do, we will create even more beautiful memories,” he added.
