Efia Odo debunks resurfaced claim linking her to Daddy Lumba

Media personality and actress Efia Odo has responded to a resurfaced claim suggesting that legendary highlife musician Daddy Lumba is her father.

The viral statement, which has been making rounds on social media, stems from an old funny joke she made during her time at Kwese TV.

Clarifying the matter, Efia Odo described the claim as a joke that has been taken out of context.

“That was a funny joke I made back then when I was with Kwese TV,” she explained. “Unfortunately, someone who is not a professional journalist twisted it, and now it’s being taken seriously.”

She stressed that while she has great admiration for Daddy Lumba and his musical legacy, there is no biological connection between them.

Efia also urged bloggers and media outlets to verify facts before publishing sensational content.

As tributes continue to pour in following the death of Daddy Lumba, Efia Odo called for respect for the late icon and his family, urging fans and the public to focus on celebrating his life and music rather than spreading misinformation.
