The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Midas Touch Entertainment, Kwabena Opoku Oppong has supported inmates of the Kumasi Children’s Home with the supply of essential food items and a cash donation.

The intervention is to help alleviate the daily struggles faced by the over 100 children in the care home.

The Kumasi Children’s Home, established in 1996, is home to more than 100 underprivileged children and orphans, providing diverse care and support.

The government-run residential facility provides vulnerable children with essentials like food, healthcare, shelter, education, and emotional support, but largely run on the benevolence of the public.

The CEO of Midas Touch entertainment donated the essential items to the home in memory of his deceased mother, Georgina Opoku.

He says the gesture reflects the deeds of his late mother.

“My late mother was a woman of kindness and in her memory, we have come to support the Kumasi children’s home, something she would have done herself. She believed every child deserves love and care.

“This is just the beginning and I invite individuals and organisations in giving these children the care and hope they deserve. They are our future leaders and together we can make their future bright,” he said.

The Kumasi Children’s Home was presented items such as rice, cooking oil, toiletries, bottled water, stationery, beverages and cash amount.

The Home Manageress of the Kumasi Children’s Home, Mabel Pinamang Boamah, said the intervention was timely.

“On behalf of the kids and management, we say big thank you to the Opoku Family. These items are essential and they have come at the right time. We hope that God replenish your pocket,” she said.

Apart from the donation, Mr. Opoku Oppong, in the company of family and friends, fraternised with the underprivileged children, leaving them with smiles.

Friends and loved ones, including musician, Gyakie, and Rufftown management assisted in a pep talk with the children.

“Our mother was a staunch Christian and giver. We want to continue her legacy. She has love for kids and the needy, and advices us to give,” Sandra Opoku, daughter of the late Georgina Opoku said.

The intervention planned and executed by the GS concierge Limited, was lauded as outstanding and heartwarming.
